Hobart Campground is another one of the three tent camping sites in the Spooner Backcountry, Lake Tahoe State Park. Camping is only permitted at one of these three campgrounds while in the Spooner Backcountry.

Hobart Campground has four sites with toilets, picnic tables, and food storage.

There are a few ways to get to Hobart Campground from Lake Tahoe, the shortest is just over 7 miles from Tunnel Creek Road.  You can also park and hike from either the Spooner Summit parking area or within the Spooner Lake parking area.

Sites are first-come, first-serve.

The fee is $10.  If you’re entering from either Tunnel Creek or Spooner Summit, you’ll pay with self-serve envelopes upon entering state park boundaries.
