Lake Tahoe is a great spot for RV camping. There aren’t a lot of “RV parks” in Lake Tahoe but there are plenty of campgrounds that have services for RVs.
RV camping in South Lake Tahoe
South Lake Tahoe has the largest RV campsites in the Lake Tahoe basin.
- Tahoe Valley Campground is the largest RV campground in Lake Tahoe, with 439 sites (including tents too), full hookups, and accommodates vehicles up to 60′. Open year-round.
- Chris Haven RV is another year-round RV campground in South Lake Tahoe, next to Tahoe Valley Campground. Full hookups, 96 sites, and RVs up to 60′. They have both full-time and temporary residents.
- Check the map below for information on all of the other RV campgrounds in South Lake Tahoe.
RV camping in North Lake Tahoe
There aren’t any dedicated RV campgrounds in North Lake Tahoe these days. The older few that offered RV services have since shut down. There are, however, some great campsites in North Lake Tahoe that accept RVs. Some of the best RV campgrounds in North Lake Tahoe include Granite Flat along the Truckee River and William Kent near Tahoe City.
