Marlette Peak Campground, Nevada
Marlette Peak Campground is one of the three tent campgrounds in the Spooner Backcountry, Lake Tahoe State Park. There are five established sites with vault toilets, a water well, fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage. Marlette Peak is just a few minutes away and provides breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and Marlette Lake.
The Marlette Peak Campground is also one of the best fall camping options in the Lake Tahoe area.
Dispersed camping is not permitted in the Backcountry. The sites are walk-up, hike-in tent sites, and are first-come first-serve.
Marlette Peak trailheads
The hike is 7.8 miles from Tunnel Creek in Incline Village, 7.4 miles from Spooner Summit trailhead parking, and 7.3 miles from Spooner Lake. The fees are $10; you’ll pay with self-serve envelopes upon entering State Park boundaries if parking at the Spooner Summit or Tunnel Creek parking lots.
